Car Stuff

I've put up some interesting "Barn finds". If you're like me, you see a rusty old hulk and immediately start trying to imagine what it could be. It's nothing but potential and options at that point. Do you go with a beautiful stock restoration? Or a ratty sleeper beast? Or some pro street rocket? Or something else? That's the great thing about a barn find, it's a foundation for your imagination to go to work!

Planes

The fledgling Orange County Aviation Museum (Museum of Heritage and Aviation, MOHA) is having some difficulty. They have several aircraft, some flyable, some being restored. But they are currently at the whim of the Irvine City Council that is determining if they will continue to exist, of if they will be terminated. Please check out the Planes section to find out more.

My Last 1966 Mustang Fastback (I've had two)

This is a 1966 Mustang Fastback, with an A code 289 (hydraulic lifters with a 4 BBL carb), and a 4 speed manual top loader (factory 3 speed). Signal Flare Red with a black interior. It was perfect. Nothing so special that you couldn't modify it, but all the performance goodies you would want in an older pony. It had an Edelbrock Performer RPM manifold, Holly 650 cfm Double Pumper, and a really radical cam of unknown origin. It set off alarms while going down the street. The stance was 60's gasser, as it was set up for a straight line full tilt boogie! Went like a bat outa heck, but handled like a shopping cart! In other words, a whole lot of fun! I sold it due to some divorce induced temporary insanity, and have regretted it ever since. Oh well, live and learn. I'm looking for something to replace it with.

Bike Project

I'll be putting up details about my bike project soon. A panhead based bobber with modern bits. No billet, but as much finned cast aluminum as I can find. For now just a couple pics to give you an idea of where I'm going with it.
